The cartoonists who make the news paper reader smile in the warmth of the morning light have joined hands to come up with indianink.org  in the year 2005 (August15th) with a mission to take the cartoon more closer to the hearts of the people.

OUR MISSION …

Laughter is a sort of solace to the people who struggle to make a living in modern days’ world of  insecurity and loads of worries. Cartoon offers a shoulder to lean on and relax. indianink has  surfaced to do this kind of token service through  which it tries to enlighten and spread awareness among the people on various issues of human concern.

We have conducted national level cartoon contests on issues like Globalization and AIDS. Our Indian Ink carton album has received accolades from eminent personalities from around the world. Entwicklungs Politik has nominated our cartoon album Smile on AIDS for the Petrakelly award.

A COMMITMENT TO THE SOCIAL CAUSE

Cartoon is not a laughing matter. We believe in the social responsibility of a professional cartoonist.Our efforts are evident in every programme we take up.During the election season … we have drawn cartoons, on issues like political corruption and fake promises.. People understand the value and power of their vote. Those works inspired a lot of people and motivated them to exercise their franchise in a better way.

We expose all that is wrong in the society and record all the developments in our cartoons. We leave no issue. Not only the political area, we have taken up issues like AIDS to make people aware of the deadly disease and alter their life style. Thus we made cartoon a weapon in fighting the epidemic. indianink is planning to hold cartoon exhibitions and seminars on   … different issues… all over the india.

We are on a mission to use cartoons as effective vehicles to reach out the masses with a message against misconceptions and to eradicate illiteracy.
